Sterile Eye Drops
Cyclopentolate 1% Single use sterile eye drops are sterile topical solution for ophtalmic use. Each 100 mL contains 1 g of cyclopentolate as active ingredient. It is a preservative free.
Cyclopentolate is an anticholinergic drug that block the responses of the sphincter muscle of the iris and the accommodative muscle of the ciliary body to cholinergic stimulation, producing papillary dilation (mydriasis) and and paralysis of accommodation (cycloplegia). It acts rapidly, but has a shorter duration than atropine.
Maximal cycloplegia occurs within 25 to 75 minutes after instillation. Complete recovery of accommodation usually takes 6 to 24 hours. Complete recovery from mydriasis in some individuals may require several days. Heavily pigmented irides may require more doses than lightly pigmented irides.
Cyclopentolate 1 % solution is used to produce mydriasis and cyclopelgia in diagnostic procedures such as ophthalmoscopy. Also, it is indicated for measurement of refractive errors as for cyclopelgic effedt.
Dosage and administration:
The recommended dosage regimen for the treatment of mydriasis and Cycloplegia is taken below:
12 months of age and older: One or two drops of 1% solution in the eye, which may be repeated in five to ten minutes if necessary.
Sina Darou Cyclopentolate 1% Single Use Sterile Eye Drops are available as 0.5 mL of clear and colorless solutions od Cyclopentolate in 0.5 mL sterile polyethylene vials. 50 vials are packed in carton boxes along with brochures.
Store below 30°C. Protect from freezing. Keep container tightly closed. This product is preservative free so discard the opened container immediately after use. Keep out of reach of children.
